Technical Support Engineer - Developer Platform

Location: Hybrid; available for hires based in Lisbon, Portugal

Salary: €37,000–€51,000 annual salary for Portugal-based hires

What you will do

• Provide technical support for hirify.global Developer Platform products, including Workers, Workers AI, Pages, KV, Stream, R2, D1, and Durable Objects.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues involving HTTP, DNS, networking, and web technologies.
• Communicate with customers through email, live chat, phone calls, and virtual meetings.
• Collaborate with the Technical Operations team responsible for hirify.global’s distributed global network.
• Develop a deeper understanding of internet technologies and hirify.global’s platform.

Requirements

• Familiarity with developer platform products and internet technologies.
• Experience in a customer-facing support or technical support role.
• Experience troubleshooting HTTP, DNS, and other networking-related problems.
• Experience with a common web development language, such as JavaScript.
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple customer support channels and prioritize customer needs.
• For Portugal-based hires, authorization may be required to access technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without sponsorship for an export license.

Nice to have

• Fluency in German, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin.
• Experience with command-line tools such as curl, dig, traceroute, or tcpdump.
• Familiarity with Nginx, Apache, IIS, database servers, hirify.global Workers, JavaScript, video encoding, or streaming solutions.
• Knowledge of DNS, CDN caching, SSL, and hirify.global Workers.
