Senior Accountant - Reporting, Kuala Lumpur Hub (A2R)

What you will do

• Support the A2R Reporting Lead with accounting and reporting activities, data reliability, and enforcement of accounting standards.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, consolidation packages, and financial statements within local and group reporting timelines.
• Monitor compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, hirify.global procedures, SOX controls, and internal control frameworks.
• Participate in closing governance meetings, CFO closing reviews, account committee activities, and customer board preparation.
• Collaborate with Country Finance, tax, treasury, and other finance processes to manage closing risks and support global transitions to the Kuala Lumpur hub.
• Identify process and technology improvements, including ERP automation, RPA initiatives, SLA monitoring, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, A2R, or a shared services center.
• Experience in a multinational or regional corporate environment.
• Working experience with SAP FI/CO and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Good written and verbal English and Mandarin communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant regional accounting standards and IFRS, with strong attention to detail.
• ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or a bachelor's or professional degree in accounting, finance, business, or an equivalent qualification.
