Rice Business and Portfolio Manager (Rice)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Penang or Northern Malaysia. Willingness to relocate within Malaysia based on business requirements is required.

What you will do

• Develop and execute annual and mid-term business strategies for the Malaysian rice segment.
• Own revenue, gross margin, volume, commercial performance, and portfolio strategy for the rice business.
• Set priorities by market, geography, customer, channel, and product while directing Area Business Leads and monitoring distributor execution.
• Analyze Malaysian rice production, crop seasons, farmer practices, competitive activity, and market dynamics.
• Lead demand generation, farmer engagement, dealer programs, field demonstrations, channel development, and key account activities.
• Build business cases for new products, coordinate with Regulatory and R&D, prepare launches, and monitor post-launch adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Agricultural Science or a related discipline.
• Preferably more than 3 years of experience in rice-segment business in Malaysia.
• Experience in business management, product management, portfolio management, sales, or market development.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to translate market insights into growth opportunities.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to relocate within Malaysia based on business requirements.
