Sr. Director (Stablecoin)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; at least 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Define and execute hirify.global’s Japan Growth Products strategy across Stablecoin, Agentic Commerce, Crypto and future emerging solutions.
• Identify market opportunities, customer needs, regulatory developments, partnerships and investment priorities.
• Lead Stablecoin initiatives covering payments, issuance, distribution, on- and off-ramps, cross-border flows, settlement and tokenization.
• Develop AI-enabled Agentic Commerce propositions and ecosystems involving AI platforms, merchants, financial institutions and payment partners.
• Manage partnerships and go-to-market execution from opportunity identification and solution design through pilots, commercial launch and scale.
• Lead the Japan Growth Products team, including direction setting, coaching, development, performance management and cross-functional execution.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of experience across payments, financial services, fintech, digital assets, AI, e-commerce, product strategy, business development or strategic partnerships.
• People management experience covering goal setting, coaching, capability development and performance management.
• Deep understanding of Japan’s payments and financial services landscape, market participants and regulatory environment.
• Practical knowledge of Stablecoin, digital currencies, blockchain, crypto, tokenization, digital wallets, cross-border payments, Agentic Commerce or AI ecosystems.
• Experience taking emerging technology or new business initiatives from strategy through proof of concept, pilot, go-to-market, commercialization and scale.
• Fluency in Japanese and English, including the ability to negotiate, present, write and manage stakeholders in both languages.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, finance or a related discipline; an MBA, master’s degree or other advanced qualification is preferred.
• Experience with regulators, industry associations, policy stakeholders or emerging payment and technology standards.
• Experience launching and scaling services within a product organization, startup or high-growth company.
• Experience supporting markets outside Japan or working across multiple markets.
• Experience translating product requirements and technical considerations into business decisions.
