Engineering Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Lead multiple cross-functional engineering teams delivering a Salesforce-centered modern platform and sustaining a legacy system.
• Own executable delivery plans, team sizing, scope, timelines, and monthly production releases.
• Build an engineering quality system based on automated testing, code review, measurable defect detection, and zero escaped critical defects.
• Establish engineering standards for code quality, documentation, definition of done, accessibility, security, and release readiness.
• Scale responsible AI-assisted development across teams, including test coverage, code review, defect analysis, and documentation.
• Hire, develop, and retain engineers while working directly with federal customers and decision-makers.

Requirements

• Experience leading multiple engineering teams that build and ship production software.
• Hands-on technical credibility, including code reading, design review, and technical decision-making.
• Experience building quality systems with test automation and measurable defect reduction.
• Federal delivery experience involving security, accessibility, authorization, and documentation requirements.
• Experience using AI engineering tools and leading teams in their responsible adoption.
• Must be based in the United States and able to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance. A Secret clearance is not required.

Nice to have

• Salesforce delivery leadership or experience with a comparable configuration-first enterprise platform.
• Deep experience with test automation frameworks and strategy.
• Experience running legacy sustainment and modernization in parallel.
• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility compliance.
• Mortgage or housing finance experience.
