Senior Java Fullstack Developer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems operating at significant scale.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and production-quality Java and Spring Boot solutions.
• Build and operate microservices, RESTful APIs, cloud-native services, and supporting observability patterns.
• Develop responsive, component-driven front-end applications with React.
• Deploy applications to major cloud platforms and support services throughout their operational lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and developers in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience building production-grade enterprise applications; the position lists 8+ years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Java 11 or 17, Spring Boot, RESTful API design, data structures, algorithms, computational complexity, and system design.
• Production experience with microservices architecture, SQL, relational databases, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with React, CI/CD tooling, Git workflows, and deployment to AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent event-streaming platforms.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of eventual consistency, CAP trade-offs, idempotency, and saga patterns.
• Experience with automated testing and test-driven or behavior-driven development.
• Familiarity with Angular or Vue.
