Senior Director, Consumer Protection Team (Strategy & Operations) (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid, with on-site expectations three days per week at the New York headquarters; roles in New York and San Francisco are hybrid. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates outside the NY/NJ area.

Salary: $264,000–$330,000 USD base salary for Tier 1 NYC/Bay Area markets, adjusted by geographic pay zone.

What you will do

• Own the Consumer Protection Team’s strategy, roadmap, operating priorities, and success metrics.
• Build and manage a high-performing team, defining its operating model and developing talent.
• Design reporting systems, frameworks, and processes that scale the team’s capabilities.
• Partner with Product, Credit Risk, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, Compliance, and executive leadership to shape policies and business decisions.
• Identify and lead initiatives that create greater value for customers, from problem definition through execution.
• Prepare executive-facing monthly memos and facilitate reviews that drive decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience, ideally in management consulting, Strategy & Operations, business operations, or Chief of Staff roles at high-growth companies.
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong strategic, analytical, conceptual, and execution skills in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to create executive-ready narratives.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and make complex problems actionable.
• Demonstrated fluency with AI tools for analysis, workflow improvement, and decision-making.
