Senior Software Engineer (Data Analytics)

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Base salary: $105,700–$149,275 per year, with potential participation in a bonus program.

What you will do

• Lead discovery, assessment, consolidation, modernization, migration, and decommissioning of enterprise reports.
• Transform legacy reports into modern reporting and analytics solutions while preserving functional accuracy.
• Translate business reporting requirements into scalable technical designs, data models, transformation logic, and implementation plans.
• Design and optimize data pipelines, queries, semantic layers, datasets, and reporting structures.
• Define reconciliation, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing approaches.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting sessions, governance activities, and mentoring for engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, enterprise reporting, business intelligence, data warehousing, or data analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, data analytics platforms, relational databases, advanced SQL, and query optimization.
• Experience with reporting architecture, data pipelines, semantic models, metadata management, data lineage, and legacy report analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex data discrepancies and reconcile outputs across legacy and modern platforms.
• Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, or comparable business intelligence and visualization tools.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with dbt, Airflow, CI/CD pipelines, version control, or AI-based development tools.
• Knowledge of data governance, master data management, enterprise security controls, or large-scale business intelligence modernization.
