Director, Global People Operations & Compliance

Location: Remote in Canada or the United States. The listed base salary range applies to residents of the United States only.

Salary: $152,800–$259,200 USD base salary for the United States.

What you will do

• Define and deliver a multi-year People Operations and Compliance roadmap aligned with business priorities, AI, and emerging technologies.
• Standardize, simplify, and automate workflows across onboarding, data management, offboarding, and the broader team member lifecycle.
• Establish operating models, service-level agreements, metrics, case management standards, and scalable escalation paths.
• Partner with Compensation, Legal, Procurement, People Technology, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, IT, and Internal Audit.
• Lead and develop a global team focused on process design, data fluency, automation, AI-enabled work, succession planning, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee global mobility, PEO administration, employment compliance, audit outcomes, new entity setup, and global expansion initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of HR or People Operations experience, including 5+ years leading global teams.
• Experience building and scaling People Operations functions in complex, multi-regional organizations.
• Working knowledge of global employment compliance, including experience with works councils or employee representative bodies.
• Experience using AI and automation to improve operations, with strong attention to data accuracy and process detail.
• Strong judgment, stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills in ambiguous situations.
• Experience optimizing Workday, including data governance, self-service, standardization, consolidation, and workflow optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-growth global technology or SaaS company or a public company.
• Experience transforming People Operations at scale across different company stages.
• Greenhouse ATS infrastructure experience, including equity data and ATS-HRIS integrations.
• Experience implementing HR case management tools, workflow automation, knowledge management, Workday integrations, and service catalogs.
