People Operations Specialist

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid

What you will do

• Act as the first point of contact for employee questions about benefits, payroll, policies, leave, and other people-related matters.
• Own onboarding from signed offer through the first day, including background checks, work authorization, equipment, and access coordination.
• Administer benefits and statutory leave across multiple countries, including enrollments and life-event changes.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations with PEO and EOR partners in the US, Spain, the UK, EMEA, and LATAM.
• Maintain accurate employee records, status changes, and data integrity in Rippling.
• Build people programs and automate repetitive HR workflows using HRIS tools and AI.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a generalist People role, ideally in a technology company or fast-growing startup.
• Hands-on HRIS experience, preferably with Rippling.
• Experience across onboarding, benefits, payroll, compliance, and employee support.
• Experience working with employees or contractors across multiple countries and a strong understanding of international employment law and compliance.
• For the San Francisco role: knowledge of US employment law is required.
• Strong coordination skills with PEOs, EORs, outside counsel, and other stakeholders, plus an automation-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Experience coordinating global immigration cases with outside counsel.
• Experience working with a PEO and EORs.
• Spanish or French language skills.
