Deductions Coordinator

What you will do

• Review, audit, and validate customer deductions related to trade promotions, pricing discrepancies, shortages, and other claims.
• Research remittance advices, customer portals, EDI documents, and promotional calendars to validate or dispute claims.
• Resolve unauthorized deductions through chargebacks or repayment requests and maintain accurate TPM records.
• Monitor deduction aging and open balances to reduce revenue leakage.
• Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Supply Chain to obtain documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly close through deduction reconciliations, accrual balance reviews, cash application, credit memo processing, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in deductions management, trade promotions, or accounts receivable, ideally in food, beverage, or CPG.
• Working knowledge of Trade Promotion Management systems and trade mechanics such as off-invoice allowances, scan-backs, bill-backs, and compliance deductions.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central, NetSuite, or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Experience with cash application, credit memo processing, general ledger reconciliation, retail customer portals, chargebacks, and EDI documentation.
• Equivalent education and experience combinations may be considered, including a high school diploma with two years of related experience or an associate’s degree with one year of related experience.
