Software Engineer - Operations and Infrastructure

Location: US - Austin, TX; at least 3 days per week in the office. The position is performed in an office setting and requires 5–10% travel.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, and full-stack applications.
• Build automation tools, platform capabilities, and internal engineering systems.
• Develop and support cloud-native and distributed systems focused on reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, infrastructure, and operations teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot application and system issues, perform root cause analysis, and support production incident resolution.
• Document technical designs and continuously improve testing, observability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with application analysis, design, programming, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Experience gathering requirements from users or stakeholders and supporting software installation and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge or coursework in full-stack development, backend services, or systems programming.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, automation, infrastructure, CI/CD, version control, containerization, or distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with Java, Python, Node, Spring Boot, or similar backend technologies.
• Understanding of system reliability, monitoring, and debugging in distributed systems.
