Staff Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid, primarily in office at 1375 Crossman Ave, Sunnyvale, California, United States

Salary: $143,000–$286,000 per year, plus performance bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Deliver platform capabilities covering infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Apply cloud-native architecture principles to build scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
• Conduct system design reviews and validate solutions against architectural best practices.
• Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components using multiple programming languages.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and collaborate across teams on technical requirements and process improvement.

Requirements

• Experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, containers, and automation.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping.
• Experience with coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, observability, and application maintenance.
• Ability to lead system design reviews and apply sound technical judgment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4 years of software engineering experience, or 6 years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
