Senior Full Stack Engineer (PHP/Vue)

Location: Remote in Costa Rica; work schedule aligned with the assigned team/project, with good overlap with US Eastern hours.

What you will do

• Join an existing Agile team and work directly with the client's team every day.
• Lead technical work across full-stack software projects.
• Design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
• Mentor other engineers and troubleshoot production issues.
• Contribute independently across projects in different industries.

Requirements

• 6–9 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
• Backend experience with PHP 8+, Laravel, API development, and unit testing.
• Frontend experience with Vue.js 3+.
• Experience with MySQL or MariaDB.
• Experience with Git, Docker, Apache, and Linux.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Ability to lead technical work, mentor others, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Strong English communication skills for daily direct collaboration with the client's team.
• Good time zone overlap with US Eastern hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and MongoDB.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, TypeScript, and Zend/Laminas.
