Senior Full Stack Developer (Vue/TypeScript)

Location: Remote - Canada

Base salary: $130,000–$160,000/year. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity; the range covers base salary only.

What you will do

• Design and ship features across the Vue 3 and TypeScript editor, including the canvas, attribute panels, undo/redo, selection, reusable modules, locks, and translations.
• Own and scale the realtime collaboration engine based on CRDTs, WebSockets, Cloudflare Workers, and Durable Objects, including reconnects, stale clients, partial failures, and concurrent editing.
• Extend the structured document model and the pipeline that produces production-ready email and landing-page HTML.
• Partner with the AI team to enable agents to edit designs through the same operations and synchronization model as people.
• Build and maintain Laravel/PHP APIs and MySQL persistence, focusing on testability, observability, performance, monitoring, feature flags, and safe production rollouts.
• Lead design and code reviews, document architectural decisions, debug issues end to end, and collaborate with product, design, QA, and DevOps while mentoring teammates.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience, including significant full-stack work.
• Experience building complex, stateful, editor-style web applications, such as design tools, page builders, rich-text editors, or canvas editors.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and a modern frontend framework, with Vue 3 preferred, including reactivity internals, state management, and performance tuning.
• A product mindset focused on solving marketers’ problems and making informed decisions about requirements.
• A hands-on approach to AI in daily development, including coding agents and AI tools, with the judgment to review, test, and own their output.
• Strong web fundamentals: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, the DOM, browser storage, rendering performance, and profiling.
• Solid backend experience with PHP/Laravel or a comparable framework, plus MySQL.
• Understanding of distributed-systems concepts including consistency, idempotency, ordering, and failure handling.
• Production experience with realtime systems such as WebSockets, presence, and reconnection; expertise in RESTful APIs, TDD, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong written communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with collaborative editing technology such as CRDTs or OT, including Yjs, Automerge, or Loro.
• Experience with edge or serverless runtimes such as Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, or AWS Lambda.
• Email HTML rendering or cross-client compatibility experience.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI agents into product features.
• Prior experience in a fast-growing SaaS company.
