Software Engineer III - Full Stack (Drupal)

Location: Remote nationwide in the United States; U.S. citizenship and successful completion and maintenance of a federal Public Trust background investigation and suitability determination are required.

Salary: $105,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain full-stack Drupal websites and applications for federal digital services.
• Estimate and complete development work, including coding, requirements gathering, and technical analysis.
• Diagnose and prioritize issues in owned systems and participate in on-call rotations.
• Contribute to architecture, design planning, code reviews, documentation, and engineering process improvements.
• Mentor junior developers, collaborate with stakeholders, and support recruiting through technical evaluations and interviews.
• Present and write about technical work for internal and external audiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of program engineering experience.
• Proven Drupal development experience and strong proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and Apache configurations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and technical mentoring skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain the required federal Public Trust suitability determination.

• Experience hosting Drupal websites and applications on Acquia.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship features.
• Experience writing readable, efficient, and testable code and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Experience documenting solutions and usage instructions.
