Safety, Health & Wellbeing Lead

Location: State-based across Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory; regular intrastate and occasional interstate travel required. Hybrid ways of working are offered.

What you will do

• Partner with state operations, brand managers and venue teams to embed safety, health and wellbeing initiatives into daily operations.
• Conduct Category 1 and 2 ICAM root-cause investigations, support Category 3 and 4 reviews, and manage dangerous occurrences.
• Develop controls, risk assessments, safety alerts, work instructions and continuous improvement projects based on incident data.
• Support the Safety Management System, self-insurance audits, regulatory compliance and engagement with WorkSafe and other regulators.
• Conduct site inspections and new-site opening reviews, coach operational teams and facilitate WHS training.
• Champion physical and mental wellbeing initiatives across the region.

Requirements

• Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety; a Diploma is preferred.
• ICAM certification and a current valid driver’s licence.
• Professional safety experience with a strong understanding of retail and/or hospitality operations.
• In-depth knowledge of WHS Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and hazard management.
• Experience with root-cause investigations, data-driven strategy, group training and stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned states and occasionally interstate.
