Cardiac Rhythm Management Technical Field Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Remote within the Seattle, Washington regional territory; residence within the territory and frequent driving to customer accounts are required.

Salary: $84,000–$126,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for a Sales Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Lead regional and national education and training programs for Cardiac Rhythm Management procedures, therapies, products, and solutions.
• Train internal teams, physicians, fellows, advanced health professionals, sales staff, service teams, and external customers.
• Provide technical and clinical expertise, interpret clinical evidence, address competitive claims, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Support product launches, new-hire field sign-offs, field corrective actions, clinical studies, and product or procedure updates.
• Provide implant or clinic coverage and expert service at key customer accounts as required by regional needs.
• Partner with sales leadership, clinical research, product development, quality, education, marketing, and regional teams to improve performance and customer outcomes.

Requirements

• Must reside within the regional territory and hold a valid driver's license.
• Bachelor's degree plus at least two years of experience in electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm, implantable medical devices, or related sales, service, or engineering work; alternatively, an advanced degree in engineering or nursing.
• Experience or knowledge related to cardiac medical terminology, clinical evidence, cardiac rhythm management, or the medical device industry.
• Ability to provide frequent travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings and to work independently in clinical environments.
• Ability to handle equipment weighing up to 40 pounds and wear a 5–7 pound lead apron for extended periods.
• Roles below the Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment.

Nice to have

• Biomedical engineering or nursing degree.
• Cath lab, electrophysiology lab, hospital, clinic, or cardiology experience.
• Experience teaching medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel.
• IBHRE certification, required at Senior and Principal levels.
• Experience with Microsoft tools, Salesforce.com, vendor credentialing, and cross-functional relationship management.
