Data Center Manager (AI)

Location: Southaven, Mississippi, or Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Onsite data center operations with occasional travel to data center locations, on-call duties, prolonged standing, ladder use, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

What you will do

• Oversee power, cooling, networking, hardware deployments, and site operations to maintain 99.999% uptime for AI compute systems.
• Lead, train, and develop data center operations technicians and supervisors through performance management and collaborative execution.
• Manage hardware lifecycles, incident resolution, inventory, preventive maintenance, and Jira ticket workflows.
• Coordinate technicians, AI specialists, and external vendors when integrating technology and expanding capacity.
• Track uptime, power efficiency, issue resolution, and other operational metrics to improve site performance.
• Lead emergency response and help standardize operational best practices across sites.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations or comparable critical environments.
• 3+ years of experience managing technical teams.
• Expertise in server hardware, cabling, and data center technologies from setup through lifecycle management.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high-responsibility environment with occasional on-call duties and travel.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and occasionally use ladders.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI, machine learning, or high-performance computing environments.
• Proficiency with Jira and cross-functional workflow management.
• Familiarity with Python or Bash scripting for operational automation.
• Experience partnering with vendors, scaling operations, and advancing sustainability initiatives.
