What you will do

• Own the commercial plan and pipeline for UK civilian central government.
• Find, shape, and close deals from initial conversations through contracting and delivery.
• Develop commercial relationships across departments including HMRC, DWP, and NHS.
• Manage frameworks, tenders, teaming arrangements, and routes to market.
• Translate government needs into deliverable work while staying aligned with product and delivery teams.
• Hire and lead a small team as the business grows and contribute to the wider UK public sector strategy.

Requirements

• Experience selling and delivering technology or transformation work to UK civilian central government, either from a vendor or within government.
• Strong knowledge of at least one major department, such as HMRC, DWP, or NHS, and how it purchases.
• Understanding of public sector procurement, including frameworks, tenders, and multi-stakeholder buying processes.
• Experience opening doors, leading complex pursuits, and owning commercial outcomes.
• Established relationships with senior stakeholders across government departments.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI or data-heavy platforms.
• Experience with regulated, mission-critical government programmes.
• Experience building or running a small go-to-market team.
