Facility Security Officer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Huntsville, Alabama; the posting also references Mojave, California. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Base salary: $185,000–$205,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain the facility security, industrial security, and GRC programs.
• Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-171, NISPOM, JAFANs, ICDs, DD254 requirements, and government and customer security obligations.
• Manage security processing, clearance coordination, visit authorization, foreign visitor procedures, classified meetings, and document control.
• Lead physical security operations including visitor management, badging, access control, alarms, inspections, asset protection, and emergency planning.
• Lead the Insider Threat Program as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official and investigate suspected security violations or compromises.
• Partner with senior management, ITAR personnel, DoD organizations, federal investigators, customers, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Top Secret clearance are required; TS/SCI with polygraph is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Facility Security Officer and in physical security.
• At least 8 years of experience administering SAP/SCI or equivalent security clearance programs.
• Experience with NIST, JAFAN, ICD, NISPOM, DD254, clearance verification, document control, and access control systems.
• Ability to write and enforce security policies, procedures, security plans, and training programs.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and be on call or delegate coverage for evenings and weekends.

Nice to have

• SPED or Industrial Security Professional certification.
• Program Security Officer’s Launch Course or Security+ certification.
• Experience as a COMSEC Custodian, with Information Assurance, System Security Plans, or Program Protection Methodologies.
