LOB Risk Specialist Senior (HR Compensation)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA; Birmingham, AL; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; or Cleveland, OH. Regular time in the office or field is required; some responsibilities may be performed remotely at the manager’s discretion.

Base salary: $75,000–$137,500 annually, plus incentive eligibility based on company, business, and/or individual performance.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate risk management and governance activities for base and variable compensation programs.
• Execute assessments, monitoring activities, business self-assessments, quality reviews, and related risk oversight processes.
• Advise Total Rewards leaders and business partners on enterprise risk requirements, governance practices, controls, and regulatory expectations.
• Develop and enhance governance frameworks, reporting, risk management tools, procedures, and operational processes.
• Monitor the control environment, maintain audit and ETS readiness, and oversee issue remediation.
• Identify and assess risks, recommend resolutions, and report or escalate risk and program compliance as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service.
• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Knowledge of risk management programs, operational risk, internal controls, organizational governance, regulatory environments in financial services, and standard operating procedures.
• Experience with data gathering and reporting, process management, decision-making, critical thinking, effective communication, and collaboration.
• Ability to work with business units and risk partners including Compliance, Credit, Legal, and Audit.
• No required certifications or licenses.
