New Product Development Manager (Physical Products)

Location: Brooksville, Florida, United States; remote work may be considered for an exceptional candidate, but significant and recurring onsite presence in Brooksville is required. Travel to customers, development partners, suppliers, and manufacturing resources is expected.

Base salary: $105,000–$130,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead multiple physical product development initiatives from customer need and validation through commercial launch.
• Build project plans, milestones, dependencies, risk registers, decision logs, and critical paths.
• Conduct customer discovery and translate user insights into practical product requirements.
• Select and manage external engineering, prototyping, testing, and product-development partners.
• Build product financial models and business cases covering price, cost, volume, margin, and adoption.
• Coordinate engineering, operations, sales, marketing, IT, and commercialization activities through launch and early market performance.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of relevant experience, with demonstrated success taking multiple physical products from concept or customer need through commercial launch.
• Experience in new product development, product commercialization, or physical product management.
• Experience with customer discovery, Voice of Customer, cross-functional program leadership, and detailed execution ownership.
• Experience managing external engineering, prototype, or development partners.
• Experience building product financial models or business cases and working credibly with engineers and technical partners.
• Ability to work onsite in Brooksville regularly, especially during prototype development, testing, plant integration, and launch; travel is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience in an entrepreneurial, resource-constrained, consulting, startup, smaller-company, or highly autonomous environment.
