Manufacturing Project Engineer (eFRAME Quality)

Salary: $89,800-$114,100 per year

What you will do

• Investigate, contain, and resolve product and process quality issues affecting production, suppliers, and customers.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, 5-Why, and fishbone methods.
• Coordinate supplier quality investigations, containment plans, and defect disposition for fabricated, painted, and purchased components.
• Manage nonconformance reviews, material holds, incoming inspection support, and disposition of suspect material.
• Develop and sustain process controls, layered process audits, work instructions, checklists, and verification activities for eFRAME operations.
• Lead continuous improvement and Smart Factory initiatives that reduce waste, improve throughput, and eliminate rework.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field.
• 5+ years of quality or manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action through verified closure, including 8D or equivalent methods.
• Experience with supplier quality management, SCARs, containment, PFMEA, control plans, layered process audits, and work instructions.
• Experience with SAP QM or a similar ERP/quality management system; MES experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills, including communication with senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with large fabricated, welded, painted, or adhesively bonded assemblies.
• Lean and Six Sigma experience, preferably Green Belt or higher.
• Union experience.
