Supplier Quality Manager

Location: Solon, Ohio, United States; hybrid work arrangement. Requires domestic and international travel of up to 40%.

What you will do

• Develop and implement the supplier quality strategy for the Electrical Connections business.
• Lead, grow, and mentor the Supplier Quality Engineering team while supporting key initiatives.
• Partner with Sourcing, Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to align quality goals with business priorities.
• Manage supplier quality issues, corrective actions, SCARs, and PPAP activities for purchased materials and finished goods.
• Establish supplier performance metrics covering quality, delivery, and cost, and support supplier certification and recognition programs.
• Conduct supplier audits, assessments, risk evaluations, and onsite customer and supplier visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or manufacturing quality, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, SPC, process capability studies, FMEA, control plans, and GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including RCCA, 8D, and 5-Why methodologies.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in a global supply chain environment.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
