Maintenance Technician (Property Maintenance)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; onsite with frequent travel between properties

Salary: CAD 54,029–55,000 per year

What you will do

• Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and operational condition of common areas across retail and residential properties.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, vacant units, and utility meters, reporting maintenance requirements and unusual conditions.
• Perform basic residential repairs, including plumbing fixtures, breaker resets, lighting, locks, and HVAC filter replacements.
• Respond to tenant work orders and preventive maintenance tasks using Angus Anywhere or a similar building management system.
• Coordinate property access, site tours, inventory, and third-party contractors while ensuring contractual standards are met.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and travel frequently between properties, including significant daily walking and lifting up to 18 kg.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is preferred.
• Experience in general building maintenance, basic repairs, building systems operations, and residential repair work.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures such as WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, and mould remediation is an asset.
• Strong customer service, communication, organization, multitasking, and independent working skills.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience working with or supervising contractors.
• Familiarity with Angus Anywhere or a similar building management system.
• Vocational or technical training in building maintenance.
