Salary: $7,186.00–$7,666.00 CAD monthly

hirify.global Building Operations provides facilities maintenance, operations, and renovation services for university buildings and campus infrastructure.

What you will do

• Perform bricklaying, masonry repair, and new construction using brick, tile, stone, concrete block, and related materials.
• Build and repair structural and non-structural walls, fireplaces, furnaces, kilns, and ornamental details.
• Apply caulking compounds, concrete and masonry sealers, reinforcing rod, and wire mesh.
• Finish concrete slabs and walls, prepare estimates, and produce inspection reports.
• Request materials and equipment, perform emergency call-outs, and monitor apprentice and labourer work when required.
• Determine work sequences, methods, and equipment while following approved procedures and safe work practices.

Requirements

• Trade certification to journeyperson level as a Bricklayer.
• Minimum five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid BC driver's licence.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety regulations and building codes.
• Ability to work from scaffolding and swing stages, interpret specifications, and work independently or with a team.
• Effective communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
