What you will do

• Prepare metallic and polymeric samples and complete laboratory testing.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate metallurgical laboratory equipment.
• Conduct materials investigations covering microstructure, mechanical properties, heat treatment, polymer characterization, and fracture analysis.
• Organize laboratory consumables and keep equipment ready for operation.
• Maintain equipment and process work instructions and train colleagues in safe equipment use.
• Organize test results and provide them to Metallurgists or Chemists for review and follow-up.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a metallurgical laboratory, or a university degree in materials engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering with a materials technology specialization, or an equivalent technical field.
• Experience with laboratory equipment such as optical microscopes, scanning electron microscopes, sample preparation systems, polymer testing equipment, and hardness testing equipment.
• Ability to analyze results and work in a structured, diligent, and result-oriented manner.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
