Associate Software Engineer (Defense)

Location: Moorpark, California, United States; work in an office and manufacturing environment

Salary: $66,500–$101,500 per year

What you will do

• Plan, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software systems and applications.
• Support the full product software lifecycle, including coding, debugging, simulation, integration, validation, and maintenance.
• Write modular, reusable, testable, and scalable code, including unit tests.
• Derive algorithm designs from detailed software requirements and participate in software design reviews.
• Use JIRA to track work and collaborate with software developers and other engineering disciplines.
• Contribute to Scrum-based development under the guidance of senior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant Windows or Linux application software development experience.
• Object-oriented design experience and expertise in C#/.NET, Java, C++, or Web UI.
• Familiarity with source code configuration management tools such as SVN and Git.
• Experience writing unit tests, using an IDE, and applying basic debugging techniques.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements; U.S. citizenship is required for this position, and the role may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.

• Android, iOS, or React/Redux web development experience.
• Basic networking knowledge.
