Development Operations Engineer (CI/CD)

Location: Remote - NOAM; collaboration across US and UK time zones.

Annual base salary: $105,000–$115,000, plus an annual target bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain deployment and release pipelines that reduce manual intervention.
• Develop internal release tooling for script packaging, DBA approvals, code and script deployments, and release completion workflows.
• Advance GitOps and CI/CD self-service capabilities using GitLab CI templates, Helm charts, and ArgoCD applications.
• Containerize and modernize QA and lower environments with Kubernetes, Helm, and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues while partnering with engineering teams on environment-specific problems.
• Write tested Python and Bash automation, documentation, runbooks, and developer enablement tooling while mentoring teammates.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and/or Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Strong scripting and tooling experience with Python and Bash or shell.
• Experience with GitOps, infrastructure as code, or configuration management such as ArgoCD or Ansible.
• Comfort building full-stack internal tools with Python backends and JavaScript frontends.
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and support reliability, security, and developer experience.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience with AWS, including RDS, and deployment tools such as Octopus Deploy.
• Experience with Nexus, Artifactory, Prometheus, Grafana, Backstage, Rancher, or ELK.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, DBA collaboration, secure SDLC, SOC compliance, or change management.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and working across geographically distributed teams.
