Systems Development Engineer I (AWS)

Location: Remote within the United States; the role must be performed by a U.S. citizen physically located in the U.S. Periodic work at a hirify.global office or collaborative work location may be required for certain events.

Base pay: $77,400–$140,340 USD annually.

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and maintain production environments for hirify.global Cloud using infrastructure as code, configuration as code, serverless technologies, and containerization.
• Build custom tools and automation through programming and scripting.
• Maintain and scale continuous integration and continuous delivery infrastructure supporting software development.
• Integrate security best practices, manage sensitive data lifecycles, and maintain backups, permissions, and auditing.
• Participate in on-call rotations, alert triage, escalation, and disaster recovery activities.
• Collaborate with product owners, software development, cloud, and delivery teams in an Agile environment while contributing code reviews, planning, and documentation.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with continuous integration tools and techniques, configuration management or deployment tools, or systems administration focused on performance and capacity planning.
• At least 1 year of experience using operating systems such as Linux, Windows, or macOS.
• Experience with a programming language such as Python or Golang, source control, issue tracking, and enterprise software development is preferred.
• Experience with AWS cloud-native services, monitoring and logging tools, Kubernetes, containerization, and structured databases is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Bachelor’s degree or four-year degree is preferred; relevant experience and education may be combined.

Nice to have

• LPIC-1, LPIC-2, LPIC-3, RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, or AWS Certified SysOps Associate certification.
