Senior Project Manager - Advanced Development (Renewable Energy)

Location: Hybrid position based in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada; approximately 30% travel across Canada and North America.

Independent renewable energy producer developing, acquiring, owning, and operating hydroelectric, wind, solar, and energy storage facilities across Canada, the United States, France, and Chile.

What you will do

• Lead renewable energy projects from power purchase agreement signing through commissioning and post-commissioning support.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee environmental assessments, consultant studies, and municipal, provincial, and federal permitting.
• Lead community consultations, public information sessions, land acquisition, and relationships with landowners, local partners, and Indigenous communities.
• Structure and manage partnerships, support interconnection strategies, and coordinate the hand-off to Construction.
• Track progress, report to management, and maintain proactive communication throughout development and commissioning.

Requirements

• More than five years of experience in project development, ideally in renewable energy.
• University degree in engineering, environmental studies, urban planning, social sciences, or a related field.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of environmental, land-use, and social issues related to energy projects.
• Leadership, political judgment, communication, negotiation, and prioritization skills.
• French and English bilingualism, written and spoken, is required.

• Experience managing partnerships, drafting contracts, and negotiating agreements.
• Experience working across urban, rural, and Indigenous contexts.
