Principal Apps Integration CI/CD & Automation Engineer (DevOps)

Location: Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided); Hybrid working: 2 days per week in the London (Osterley) office

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines for web applications.
• Define and deliver end-to-end automated testing strategies covering UI, API, integration, and performance testing.
• Develop scalable automation frameworks and advanced Python-based solutions.
• Embed testing within CI/CD pipelines to maintain quality gates and ensure reliable software releases.
• Create dashboards and reporting solutions to track quality metrics, test coverage, and pipeline performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish a new automation and quality engineering function.

Requirements

• Strong Linux expertise, including containers, scripting, version control, and release management.
• Proven experience building CI/CD implementations using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Advanced Python scripting skills.
• Experience delivering test automation for web applications using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Deep understanding of unit, integration, system, and end-to-end (E2E) testing strategies.
• Experience developing reporting dashboards using Grafana, Kibana, Power BI, or custom platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with streaming, video platforms, or large-scale web environments.
• Knowledge of cloud and container technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in API/performance testing and integrating AI/ML into QA practices.
• Leadership experience guiding teams across multiple territories.
