Facilities Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift - 90 Day Increase Eligible (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Maintain and repair facilities, production equipment, grounds, and building systems in a high-production industrial environment.
• Complete carpentry, framing, remodeling, painting, drywall, roofing, window, and construction finishing projects.
• Perform routine plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, irrigation, and grounds maintenance, including snow removal when needed.
• Operate manual and power tools, trenchers, and soil augers for construction and facility projects.
• Document maintenance requests and preventive maintenance work, communicate incomplete tasks, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures, including chemical handling, PPE use, and ongoing safety training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven commercial or industrial carpentry and framing experience, with general facility maintenance knowledge and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds and work 9–10 hour days while standing for most of the shift.
• Ability to read technical and construction instructions, manuals, schematics, diagrams, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
• General computer skills for electronic work orders, data entry, and email communication.
• English reading, writing, and communication skills required; valid driver’s license, clean driving record, overtime, weekend, on-call, and travel availability required.

Nice to have

• Two years of facilities maintenance equipment experience.
• Trade experience in electrical, mechanical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing, welding, or flooring.
• Journeyman status or relevant licensing.
• Experience troubleshooting electromagnetic equipment and interpreting technical as-built documentation.
