What you will do

• Teach undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses, including developmental mathematics.
• Contribute to course development and coordination for developmental mathematics courses and the Summer Bridge Program.
• Lead common assessment and continuous improvement activities for lower-level mathematics and statistics courses.
• Provide teaching, mentoring, and engagement that support student learning and development.
• Participate in departmental and university service appropriate to a teaching-focused appointment.
• Teach 30 credit hours across the 9-month academic year, typically five 3-credit courses per semester; research is not required.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Mathematics or Statistics.
• Ability and willingness to follow departmental and course policies and meet shared instructional expectations.
• Commitment to teaching excellence, student development, collaboration, and learner-centered instruction.
• All required application documentation must be submitted, including a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy statement, unofficial graduate transcripts, and three professional references.
• Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history check.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching undergraduate mathematics or statistics, particularly lower-level or developmental mathematics.
• Experience working with different college student populations or participating in a Summer Bridge Program.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience collaborating across sections of the same course.
• At least one year of developmental mathematics teaching experience.
