Instructor of Speech & Hearing Sciences (Speech-Language Pathology): Teaching undergraduate and graduate speech, language, and hearing sciences courses while providing clinical instruction in speech-language pathology practicum sites with an accent on clinical supervision and student education. Focus on supervising graduate clinicians, teaching didactic courses, supporting accreditation initiatives, and working with adult and pediatric populations.
Location: Canyon, Texas, United States. Full-time, nine-month faculty position beginning as early as January 2027. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do
- Teach at least two undergraduate didactic courses in speech, language, and hearing sciences during the fall and spring semesters.
- Provide clinical instruction and educate graduate students in speech-language pathology at assigned practicum sites.
- Occasionally teach graduate courses in accordance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Support student recruitment, retention, advising, and departmental and college operations.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration on accreditation initiatives, service, continuing education, and presentations.
- Participate in university, college, departmental, and system-level activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in speech-language pathology, speech and hearing sciences, communication disorders, or a related field.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation license in speech-language pathology or the ability to obtain one.
- At least 2–3 years of professional clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment is required; H-1B and other work authorization visa sponsorship are not available.

Nice to have
- Experience supervising graduate speech-language pathology students, speech therapy students, or clinical fellows.
- Teaching experience in classroom, webinar, workshop, continuing education, or professional in-service formats.
- Medical expertise, including adult dysphagia or pediatric feeding.
- Experience working with varied adult and pediatric populations, service models, and clinical settings.
