Electrician (Gas Pipelines): Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying electrical and instrumentation systems for terminal operations with an accent on equipment safety, preventive maintenance, and reliable power and control systems. Focus on diagnosing failures in cranes, conveyors, generators, and related equipment, performing electrical testing, supporting emergency repairs, and maintaining operations across all shifts.
Location: Chesapeake, Virginia, United States; onsite
Salary: USD 33.30–39.11 per hour

What you will do
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic systems used in terminal operations.
- Service cranes, mobile equipment, conveyor systems, generators, warehouse lighting, and bulk-material handling equipment.
- Test electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other measuring equipment.
- Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, modifications, and routine troubleshooting on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Document unusual conditions, maintain electrical records and databases, and complete required paperwork.
- Participate in safety activities, report incidents and environmental concerns, and provide training on equipment operation and maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year degree or certification in electrical maintenance or instrumentation is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in electrical or instrumentation work.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures, high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems, instrumentation, and control devices.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and use power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment; PLC experience is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, work indoors and outdoors in all weather, and respond to emergency repairs 24/7.
