Principal AI Solutions Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; Kentucky is listed as an eligible location. Employees cannot be located in AL, AK, AR, DE, GA, HI, IL, IA, LA, ME, MD, MS, MO, NE, NV, NJ, NM, ND, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, WV, WI, or WY.

Salary: $132,400–$173,775 per year, depending on experience, skills, background, and location.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and support AI-enabled applications, automation solutions, enterprise integrations, and software.
• Partner with stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, and IT to identify opportunities and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Lead requirements, architecture, development, testing, deployment, documentation, governance, and production support.
• Build and maintain applications, APIs, integrations, workflows, data pipelines, and analytics solutions using cloud and enterprise technologies.
• Develop AI solutions with enterprise AI platforms, large language models, and AI-assisted development tools while validating generated code for quality, security, and production readiness.
• Improve reliability, performance, and user experience; establish reusable standards; and coach citizen developers and business solution owners.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 8 years with a master's degree, 5 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and supporting production software applications and enterprise solutions.
• Strong programming experience with Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, or similar languages.
• Experience building APIs, integrations, cloud-based services, and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of secure development, authentication, authorization, testing, source control, CI/CD, monitoring, code reviews, and production support.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, Power Platform, AI agents, LLMs, prompt engineering, and workflow automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Databricks, SQL Server, cloud-native services, and data integration.
• Experience supporting global organizations, manufacturing operations, or high-tech environments.
