Specialist, Direct Procurement - Connectivity (Automotive)

Location: Based at the hirify.global headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, or Novi, Michigan; requires 4–5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings, company events, and occasional domestic and international travel are required. Remote work in New York City is not eligible for this role.

Base salary: $90,000–$112,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead strategic procurement for automotive software, electronic components, and low- and high-voltage wire harness assemblies.
• Conduct cost analyses, implement cost-reduction programs, and support financial optimization.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, including suppliers in monopoly markets.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Software Development, Quality, and Program Management.
• Support projects involving autonomous driving, vehicle connectivity, and emerging automotive technologies.
• Manage supplier performance, assess technical capabilities, and ensure procurement and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, software development, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
• Expertise in software procurement and/or electronic component sourcing.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct high-stakes negotiations, particularly with monopoly suppliers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent English required.
• Understanding of automotive processes, standards, regulations, autonomous driving technologies, and connected vehicle systems; valid driver’s license and passport required.

• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or project management for electronic components or software.
