Head of Marketing Compliance (Crypto)

Location: Remote roles across EMEA

OKX operates a crypto exchange and develops the OKX Wallet, providing access to crypto trading and decentralized applications for retail and institutional users.

What you will do

• Own compliance reviews for new products, features, market expansions, and material product changes across the global product suite.
• Review product requirements, technical documentation, user journeys, onboarding flows, transaction mechanics, reward structures, disclosures, and operational processes.
• Assess regulatory perimeter, licensing, AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC, consumer protection, financial promotions, market conduct, asset safeguarding, data privacy, and third-party risk.
• Define proportionate controls, jurisdictional restrictions, monitoring requirements, escalation routes, and residual risk acceptance.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Audit, and local Compliance teams on scalable solutions, post-launch monitoring, control testing, and remediation.
• Maintain review audit trails, promote compliance by design, and deliver targeted guidance or training to product and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Legal, or Risk within financial services, fintech, payments, or cryptocurrency.
• Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business, economics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience in product compliance, regulatory advisory, or product risk assessment for new products and material changes.
• Strong knowledge of digital-asset products, including trading, custody, payments, staking, lending, structured products, wallets, and DeFi.
• Ability to analyze complex, high-risk initiatives and translate regulatory requirements into practical controls and product requirements.
• Experience using AI-enabled technology to maintain risk assessment standards, including tuning agentic skills aligned with risk appetite.

Nice to have

• Product compliance or regulatory advisory experience at a crypto exchange, fintech, or technology-led financial-services company.
• Experience with multi-jurisdictional launches across the United States, European Union, Middle East, or Asia-Pacific.
• Knowledge of CeFi trading products, Web3, blockchain, smart contracts, DeFi protocols, and digital-asset transaction flows.
• Experience developing compliance risk-assessment frameworks, controls, and key risk indicators.
