Corporate Counsel II (AI/Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid; at least one day per week in Allen, TX, Overland Park, KS, Monett, MO, or Springfield, MO. Travel up to 10% for meetings, events, and training.

What you will do

• Provide practical legal advice on data, technology, information security, privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, regulatory, contractual, and commercial matters.
• Address day-to-day legal issues and handle routine legal matters with limited instruction.
• Conduct legal research, interpret laws and regulations, and prepare and review legal documents.
• Develop legal writing, contract interpretation, negotiation, advocacy, client communication, and relationship management skills.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, Data, Information Security, Risk, Compliance, Procurement, and Operations teams.
• Build specialization in selected legal areas and develop a practical understanding of business operations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal practice.
• Experience with artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data governance, data privacy, and incident management.
• Strong legal writing and drafting experience.
• Ability to work in the required hybrid office arrangement in Texas or Missouri.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for meetings, events, and training.
