Senior Data Architect (Snowflake/dbt)

What you will do

• Design scalable core tables that transform raw event data into reliable datasets for analytics and data science.
• Build incremental dbt models for billion-row tables using merge strategies, clustering, deduplication, microbatch processing, and idempotent reprocessing.
• Design identity-resolution solutions, fact and dimension marts, approved analytical datasets, and event-driven data integrations.
• Build reliable Amazon S3 to Snowflake ingestion using Snowpipe, stages, storage integrations, COPY INTO, and schema evolution.
• Administer Snowflake environments and optimize performance, stability, security, governance, and cost across production systems.
• Establish modeling and dbt standards, review SQL and Python code, document architectural decisions, and coach engineers and analysts.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on production experience with Snowflake and expert-level SQL skills.
• Advanced experience with dimensional modeling, fact and dimension marts, slowly changing dimensions, conformed dimensions, and semi-structured data.
• Advanced dbt experience with incremental strategies, snapshots, macros, testing, and billion-row datasets.
• Experience with behavioral or event data, identity resolution, sessionization, late-arriving events, duplicates, and event-driven integrations.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to engineers and business leaders.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of AWS services including S3, IAM, SNS, and SQS.
• Experience with Parquet and other columnar data formats.
• Ability to read and review Python code.
