Technical Engineering Manager (Web3)

Location: Remote with US time zone overlap, from PST to ET

Salary: USD $150,000–$300,000 per year

Early-stage perpetuals trading platform building a high-performance exchange from the ground up after raising $5M.

What you will do

• Own the matching engine and core trading path end to end.
• Work hands-on across matching, infrastructure, and delivery during the first 6–9 months.
• Establish CI/CD, observability, and engineering standards.
• Hire, lead, and grow the first engineering team of 3–5 people.
• Report directly to the founders and own the engineering function.

Requirements

• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong TypeScript and Node experience.
• Experience with Redis, gRPC, and Postgres.
• Background building matching engines, order books, or exchange infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience with perpetuals, derivatives, or HyperEVM.
