Materials Planner

Location: On-site in Boulder, Colorado, United States

Annual salary: $85,000–$110,000, plus potential bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain material plans aligned with production requirements, customer demand, and inventory targets.
• Monitor material availability, planning signals, and inventory health while identifying shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence risks.
• Optimize SAP planning parameters, stocking levels, and order quantities using demand patterns, lead times, and service requirements.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Scheduling, Customer Care, and supply chain teams to resolve constraints and support reliable on-time delivery.
• Apply data analysis, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods to improve planning accuracy, inventory performance, standard work, and system capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in materials planning, supply planning, inventory management, supply chain, or operations.
• Experience using an enterprise resource planning system such as SAP for material requirements planning, inventory, and planning parameters.
• Experience analyzing demand, inventory, lead-time, and supply data to identify shortages, excess inventory, and material risks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or comparable data-analysis tools.

Nice to have

• Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM).
