Location: Fully onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. Work is performed on 1st or 2nd shift, with possible extended hours, overtime, and weekend work during factory ramp and production activities.
Compensation: $31–$50 per hour, plus a 6% shift differential for 2nd shift. Technician II: $31–$43 per hour; Technician III: $36–$50 per hour.

What you will do
- Integrate complete large-format LPBF printers from completed sub-assemblies and hardware using MES work orders, drawings, BOMs, specifications, and controlled documents.
- Perform precision mechanical and electromechanical assembly, including fastening, torqueing, alignment, routing, adjustment, and connection of printer systems.
- Install and connect mechanical structures, electrical components, pneumatics, inert-gas systems, motion systems, sensors, controls, and powder-handling hardware.
- Use cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, hoists, and lifting fixtures to safely rig, move, position, and install large or heavy assemblies.
- Troubleshoot alignment, fit, tolerance, routing, interface, configuration, and installation issues; perform approved repair, rework, and corrective actions.
- Support factory installation, commissioning, qualification, production ramp, documentation improvements, tooling development, and integration process improvements.
Requirements
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
- At least 2 years of hands-on mechanical or electromechanical assembly, equipment integration, manufacturing, or related technical experience.
- Experience with complex mechanical, electromechanical, industrial, or capital equipment and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics, specifications, and technical work instructions.
- Knowledge of mechanical interfaces, fasteners, torque, alignment, fits, clearances, tolerances, and precision assembly; experience using calibrated torque tools, hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
- Experience handling large or heavy assemblies, safely using approved lifting equipment, and working within controlled, revision-managed manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with technicians, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Nice to have
- Experience with additive manufacturing, LPBF systems, large-format industrial equipment, automation, robotics, or complex machinery.
- Experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, inert-gas, motion, controls, sensing, or powder-handling systems.
- Experience with precision alignment, dimensional inspection, GD&T, tolerance analysis, serialized hardware, or multi-level BOMs.
- Experience with NPI, prototype development, commissioning, qualification, production ramp, factory launch, root-cause analysis, Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement.
