Project Manager (Defense)

Location: Reston, VA, United States; onsite attendance is required for classified work.

What you will do

• Manage the development, tracking, quality, and delivery of recurring Contract Data Requirements List deliverables.
• Analyze project finances, expenditures, forecasts, and labor hours across multiple contract types.
• Develop detailed schedules and report schedule performance using Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Identify project risks, develop and implement mitigation strategies, and escalate issues affecting cost, schedule, or performance.
• Coordinate project inputs and prepare status reports, meeting minutes, presentations, and other documentation.
• Monitor milestones, deliverables, performance metrics, and resource allocation while supporting personnel development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least five years of industry project management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, meeting facilitation, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• US citizenship is required; the selected candidate must undergo a background check for Top Secret Clearance.
• Onsite work at the Reston, VA office or other facilities is required to complete classified work.

Nice to have

• Active DoD Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
• PMP or DoD Acquisition Management certification.
• Advanced degree in management or business.
• Agile project management experience on DoD projects.
• Experience contributing to RFP development and delivery.
