IT Project Manager (Software Development)

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Office-based environment with occasional work-from-home flexibility for eligible positions after training.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of custom software development projects from initiation through deployment and post-launch support.
• Create and maintain project plans, timelines, resource allocation schedules, requirements, status reports, and change requests.
• Coordinate communication between software development teams, business stakeholders, and IT leadership.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
• Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives for Agile/Scrum teams.
• Support change management, pilot studies, user adoption, and post-project reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing IT or software development projects.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile.
• Experience with project timelines, cross-functional teams, and multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with change management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• PMP, CSM, or another relevant project management certification.
• Experience in contract research, pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated life sciences environments.
• Familiarity with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, or SOx requirements.
• Experience managing custom software development projects and working knowledge of software development concepts.
