Substation Retrofit Service Project Manager (High-Voltage)

Location: Madrid, Tres Cantos, Spain; hybrid remote/office work with travel within Spain and short on-site periods

What you will do

• Manage small and medium-sized substation retrofit projects from order handover to successful closure.
• Conduct site surveys and translate customer needs and facility constraints into execution plans.
• Prepare technical and commercial offers, including cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate technical solutions with engineering, product specialists, commissioning teams, factories, and customers.
• Plan procurement, logistics, and on-site activities while coordinating resources and ensuring timely return to service.
• Control project costs, invoicing, contractual changes, customer communication, HSE, and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Higher Vocational Training in electrical systems or a bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical, industrial, or energy engineering.
• Practical electrical background and ability to understand technical drawings and interfaces.
• Strong organizational, teamwork, communication, and multi-project management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, and project planning tools is desirable.
• Fluent Spanish and English proficiency required for international coordination.
• Willingness to travel within Spain and spend short periods on-site.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-voltage equipment, substations, or retrofit projects.
• Knowledge of circuit breakers, AIS/GIS equipment, and auxiliary systems.
