TL;DR

Software Architect (Cloud/.NET): Designing scalable, secure, and reusable application solutions while leading cloud migrations and modernizing enterprise technology for a property and casualty insurer with an accent on architecture governance, cloud adoption, and high-volume transactional systems. Focus on creating architecture artifacts, mentoring Agile teams, evaluating technical solutions, and shaping multi-year technology roadmaps.

Location: Hybrid role based in Hartford, Connecticut; Charlotte, North Carolina; or Short Hills, New Jersey

Salary: USD $146,000–$198,000 per year

What you will do

Design scalable, high-performance, secure, and reusable application solutions.
Create graphical architecture diagrams and other design artifacts to guide software teams.
Lead cloud migrations and evaluate native cloud services to improve scalability, resilience, and performance.
Evangelize enterprise architecture practices, mentor development teams, and support Agile teams using SAFe.
Partner with Enterprise Architecture and IT leadership to define methodologies, evaluate solutions, identify gaps, and shape modernization roadmaps.
Assess technical competencies and identify opportunities to improve application lifecycle management.

Requirements

Deep knowledge of multi-tier application design, modern architectural patterns, and software development practices.
Experience with cloud technologies, platform migrations, and native cloud services.
7+ years of application development experience and 3+ years of architecture experience in high-volume transactional environments.
Experience with Microsoft technologies, including .NET and .NET Core, web application platforms, and relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2.
Ability to lead technical teams, mentor developers, collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and develop multi-year technology roadmaps.
