Flight On-board SW Engineer (Space)

Location: Hybrid work in Tres Cantos, Madrid, Spain. Up to 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area. A relocation package is available for candidates coming from another country.

What you will do

• Design and implement software validation facilities for flight software.
• Provide technical support for software implementation and help select suitable microprocessor tools and platforms.
• Define and analyze requirements and interfaces, design architectures, and develop software.
• Work across embedded flight hardware and software, simulation environments, algorithms, and telemetry systems.
• Perform unit and integration testing, verification, and validation.
• Create detailed technical documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with specialization in software development and cybersecurity.
• Training or interest in flight software development using C or C++.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems and embedded software development.
• Interest in applying cybersecurity principles to the space domain.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of software engineering based on European Space Agency standards.
• Experience with SVF models and components, modeling, software, and related tools.
• Knowledge of space systems, space-grade processors and buses, and temporal and spatial partitioning.
